And not just ones that make you emotional, but ones you can literally hold and feel with your hands. While digital photographs are incredibly reliable and versatile, something visceral stirs in me when holding a printed film photo or Polaroid image.

I want to give you photos you can feel.

From start to finish film requires effort, money, and intention. There is nothing rushed or mass-produced about it. Your film photos will be 100% unique to you and your wedding day.

If you'd love to hear more about why film is fantastic to include in your wedding coverage, check out this blog which shares my top 5 reasons for loving film!

Hey there, it's me, Olivia and...

film is a labor of love.

Which is why the HEART of each film add on option is centered around delivering physical, tangible photographs that you can hold in your hands and not just on your phone.

Each album or keepsake box will be prepared for, put together. and delivered by me exclusively to you.

I believe photos are meant to be held.

When I got my first film scans back when I legit cried when I was looking through them. It was the first time that I had looked through photos, especially of myself, where there was zero presence of self-criticism. Whether it be about the way I looked in that moment or the way I set up/took the photo, that "inner voice" of criticism was replaced with the overwhelming thought of "Wow. I am so glad I am holding this moment."

Film has a way of focusing in on the moment in front of you, rather than the image itself. And for me, that's why I love working with and offering film to my couples. It's not because it's a fad or "new trend" (because it's literally the foundation!), but because I believe in it. I believe photos were meant to be held and interacted with, rather than looked at from behind a screen or posted.

Let me convince you a lil more..

Because my film collections are inspired by and centered around photos you can hold, no. However, all collections come with scans of every Polaroid or film image you will recieve back in physical form!

I just want scans - can I nix the album?

Over half of the cost of each collection is the *raw materials* alone! Polaroids average out to be about $4 *a photo* and 35mm film on average runs $15-$18 a roll. Since film is unpredictable, it may take a few shots to get *the shot.* There are also costs for shipping film off to be developed, and then the developing also costs money as well :)

To summarize - investing in film, whether it instant film like Polaroids or 35mm film, is 100% an investment in quality over quantity. And that's what I am about.

Woah. Why is film so expensive?

Turnaround time for albums will be 6-7 months pending the time of year. So much is dependent on shipping times (it takes time to ship film to get developed, then ship all the goodies to you, but I promise it is worth the wait! Polaroid packs will be shipped by 12 weeks.

What is the turn around time?

Frequently Asked

Yes! You will have approximately 4-5 colors to choose from!

Can I pick the color of my album?

Will the album be 100% full?

No. The albums that I use can hold 96 photos. While the Polaroid + Film hybrid album may get close to that amount, the Polaroid only album will not. However, it leaves spaces for you to continue to create and add your own images!

Will my images be perfect?

Because film is unpredictable - no. However, that is kind of the point :) Film is incredibly sensitive to heat and light, which can add elements of authenticity to each image. Imperfections in the way the film lays are also common on Polaroids, which can look like little squiggles or triangles on the edges of the image.

Do you use classic Polaroids?

Yes! 90% of the time, Polaroid images will be shot on a Polaroid camera with Polaroid iType film. I've found that Polaroid film is the most vintage-looking. However, there are some circumstances where I would opt to use Instax film (extreme weather temps, consistent low lighting). We would discuss this in our pre-wedding check in.

Why such a variation in the number of images?

In short, film is unpredictable. You will receive everything that is good, and many times it is more than what is quoted. But it will be no less than what is quoted.
